Celebrating All Abilities

The Canvas Community Art Studio & Gallery

The Canvas serves everyone in the community interested in the arts and includes a large population of children and adults with disabilities.  REACH believes that integration of adults with disabilities and the general public through the arts provides a positive environment to educate and build relationships and natural supports.Artist at the Canvas Art Studio

The Canvas is dedicated to supporting life-long discovery through the arts. Its goal,  achieved through direct services and programming, is to provide a supportive environment that fosters creativity and inclusion through shared art experiences and exhibitions for all community members. In addition to providing day habilitation for individuals with developmental disabilities, the Canvas provides studio, pottery, and gallery facilities for the Juneau arts community.  All ages, skill levels and abilities are welcome to its wide array of class offerings and events.

Inclusion is a driving force at REACH. The Canvas grew from the involvement and support of the Juneau community, including those who experience developmental disabilities. At the Canvas understanding and appreciation of the arts, and of artists of all abilities, happens through engagement in creating, displaying, viewing, and participating in artistic experiences individually and together.

Join in creating a truly inclusive art space for the Juneau community.
