REACH Service Principles

  • Communication – REACH provides internal structures that promote communication in an open, honest, respectful and clear manner that is responsive to client and family needs.
  • Choice – REACH staff promote safe and healthy choices while honoring and respecting each client’s and family’s right to make their own.
  • Relationships – REACH staff strive to develop and maintain strong professional relationships with clients, families and community members based on mutual trust and respect.
  • Accountability – REACH promotes the integrity of staff accountability by defining job responsibilities, providing orientation, ongoing support and supervision, and regular performance reviews. In order to provide quality services, REACH strives to keep staff current through continuing education.
  • Family – REACH understands the family is the constant in a client’s life. Staff strives to develop understanding of the client’s history, values and culture. Every effort will be made to include family in all aspects of planning and implementation of services. Every family is unique. Family can include individuals outside the traditional family unit (mother, father, siblings). Family consists of individuals that the client identifies.
  • Team – REACH facilitates mutually agreed upon goals and services with the client and family through advocacy, dignity, and respect. A team leader, determined by REACH with client and family input, is the primary contact for the client and family. The team consists of a network of individuals who understand and support the client.
