Title: REACH Shredding/Sales Manger Organization: REACH, Inc.
Wage Classification: Exempt Department: Supported Employment
Salary Range: $37,400 to $55,400 DOE

Summary Position Statement: Coordinate all aspects of REACH Shredding including; supervision, marketing, advertising, grant proposals, budgeting, production, customer contact, and services to customers. This position supervises the shredding staff and ensures security measures are being upheld. The REACH Shredding Manager works directly with Shredding Technicians in regards to training and daily supervision, ensuring that all employees remain safe and maintain operation efficiency. Additional responsibilities include; scheduling of Shredding Technicians, setting pre-determined pick-up routes for customers, and ensuring that the facility and all material in its care remains secure and confidential.

Essential Functions of the Position:

Supervision:

• Select, train and manage shredding employees
• Motivate and continually develop shredding staff working in concert with their Supported Employment Job Coaches.
• Demonstrate and uphold a high level of staff morale and sprit.
• Ensure the professional appearance of the location.

Maintain Shredding Standards:

• Responsible for making sure that security measures are upheld, in accordance to NAID (National Association of Information Destruction) standards.
• Complies with all agency policy and procedures, including NAID requirements and REACH Shredding policies and procedures.
• Maintaining national affiliations with NAID (National Association for Information Destruction) and SDA (Secure Document Alliance).

Sales Growth:

• Maintains current customer base and customer satisfaction and expand existing customer sales as opportunities rise.
• Direct the sales process of new and potential customers, including successfully handling initial inquiries for potential customers and meeting with existing and potential customers.
• Engage in marketing activities to increase awareness of REACH Shredding.
• Monitor and track site performance, develops annual budget, monitors revenues expenses and fee collection.
• Establishes and maintain collaborative relationship with the Juneau business community including attendant at Juneau Chamber of Commerce meeting.
• Write grants as necessary to improve employee productivity and/or equipment.

Other Duties and Responsibilities:

• Developing and implementing production standards.
• Understands and complies with all agency policies and procedures.
• Ensures confidentiality as prescribed by agency policy, state and federal law.
• Attends and participates in meeting, commutes and trainings as directed by Facilities Director.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree
• Five + years of related experience (sales and marketing) with a strong focus on customer service.
• Excellent verbal communication and persuasive skills, and ability to build relationships
• Ability to calculate figures and amounts, analyze/interpret financial reports ans statistics, and write reports and business correspondence.
• Effective problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work some evening hours and Saturdays.

CPR and First Aid required within 30 days of hire. TB, fingerprint, background check, and drug screening required prior to beginning work. Must have current Alaska driver’s license and auto insurance.

Physical Requirements: Will require regular heavy lifting (50 lbs). Ability to perform sedentary work. Ability to communicate verbally, both in person and over the telephone. Ability to perform physical work, as part of training provided to clients as they further develop job skills. Visual acuity necessary to perform job duties throughout the course of a normal workday.

Work Conditions: Work is performed at the REACH Shredding facility as well as various sites throughout the community.
